How sod delivery works

Choose the right sod and amount for your yard

Pick the sod type that fits your yard, then measure the area so we know how much to bring. Add 5–10% for cuts, edges, and small adjustments.

Request a delivery quote

Send your square footage, delivery address, preferred date, and grass type. We’ll follow up with pricing, availability, and any delivery notes for your address.

Prepare the drop-off area

Choose a clear, level spot where the sod can be placed. Make sure the area is easily accessible and close to where the sod will be installed.

Confirm your delivery window

Once the date is set, we’ll confirm your delivery window the evening before your scheduled day. All sod deliveries happen in the morning.

How far out should I schedule sod delivery?

Reach out once you know your square footage and preferred delivery week. Earlier scheduling gives you more flexibility, especially during busy spring and fall windows.

Do I need to be home for sod delivery?

You don’t always need to be home if we have clear delivery instructions. We need access to the drop-off area and any gate, driveway, or placement notes before delivery day.

Where will you place the sod when it is delivered?

We place sod in an accessible spot that works for the delivery equipment and your project. Many homeowners choose a driveway or flat area close to the lawn.

How soon should sod be installed after delivery?

Install sod as soon as possible after it arrives. Fresh sod starts drying out once it is cut, so prompt installation and watering help the roots establish evenly.

Can Monarch Sod install the sod after delivery?

Yes. You can schedule delivery only or delivery with installation. With installation, our crew handles the prep, layout, cleanup, and initial watering guidance.

They installed our sod for us and did it SO fast and our grass is looking amazing. Monarch was the only one that seemed to be interested in my business. Some dealers were out 2 to 3 months and had voice messages stating they were no longer taking orders. It was a curveball of an order, but when the availability came he helped me get what I needed. He took the effort and time to deliver it all the way to my back yard where I needed it (note: my driveway runs all the way to my back yard). He gave me tips on how to best get the sod installed and maintain it. I looked at half a dozen sod distributers and I am glad I went with Monarch Sod.
